Where safe driving starts

Following a royal decree authorizing the Saudi Arabian General Department of Traffic to issue driving licenses to women starting June 2018, Saudi Aramco Driving Center (SADC) was established to provide driver training.

We facilitate the provision of quality driving training and learning opportunities for the Saudi Aramco employees and their dependents to meet our corporate needs.

Who Can Register With SADC?

Eligible females can register with Saudi Aramco Driving Center (SADC) as per the following types:

  • Saudi Aramco female employees
  • Saudi Aramco employees’ (on-job/retirees) female dependents
  • Female APNE/VCGNE and CDPNE
  • JHAH employees
  • Female SMP and Service Contractor employees holding Saudi Aramco ID
  • SMPs and Service Contractors’ female dependents

Driving Programs

The Saudi Aramco Driving Center provides three types of learning program that aims at equipping student drivers with the skills to be safe and defensive drivers. These courses are as follows:

  • Beginner Driving Course / 30 Hours Program
  • Intermediate Driving Course / 15 Hours Program
  • Advance Driving Course / 06 Hours Program

Beginner Driving Course / 30 Hours Program

A comprehensive driving learning program that aims at equipping novice student drivers with the skills to be safe and defensive drivers.

  • Criteria for Course:
    1. No Driving Experience
    2. Lack of Driving Confidence
  • Required Documents:
    1. National ID / Iqama ID
    2. Aramco Badge ID
    3. Medical Certificate (optional)

An intermediate driving learning program that aims at equipping experienced student drivers with the skills to be safe and defensive drivers.

  • Criteria for Course:
    1. Appear for the Pre-Evaluation Test (and pass with pre-defined skills)
  • Required Documents:
    1. National ID / Iqama ID
    2. Aramco Badge ID
    3. Medical Certificate (optional)

An advanced driving learning program that aims at equipping experienced student drivers or expired driving license holders with the skills to be safe and defensive drivers.

  • Criteria for Course:
    1. Appear for the Pre-Evaluation Test (and pass with pre-defined skills)
  • Required Documents:
    1. National ID / Iqama ID
    2. Aramco Badge ID
    3. Medical Certificate (optional)

SADC operates during normal workdays and hours, Sunday to Thursday from 07:00 to 19:00.

Yes.

The fees are currently set as follows:
- Beginner: 2,760 SAR (with VAT)
- Intermediate: 1466.25 SAR (with VAT)
- Advanced: 690 SAR (with VAT)

An eye test / blood type certificate(إفادة), a copy of national ID or Iqama, a copy of Saudi Aramco ID.

No, you will be schedule for a pre-evaluation test.

Applicants with an expired driving license from another country will be schedule for a pre-evaluation test.

Yes, the minimum hours are (4 hrs) additional fees will apply.

You will have to retake the test after paying the test fees only. You cannot continue practical training without passing the theory test. No classes are needed before retesting, but you may prepare for the retest on your own using the material in the website. You are advised to take the retest as soon as possible to avoid forgetting the studied material.

No, the questions are computer-generated from a large test bank.

You must take two practical training sessions (4 hours) before you can take a retest. You will have to pay for the additional sessions and the retest.

The maximum number of failures is 4 times (theory or practical) test.

If you fail the theory test, you pay fees for the retest only. If you fail the driving license exam, you will pay fees for additional training as well as for the retest.

Yes. Registration on Absher and paying applicable driving license fee is a must before applying for SADC.

You need an eye and blood type test, as required by the Traffic Police.

Yes, for one year.

All SADC’s instructors are females.

No. SADC utilizes only its own vehicles as they are specially equipped for this purpose.

All SADC vehicles have automatic gear.

You will have to attend a makeup session after paying the makeup session fee.

Yes, we encourage this, unless there are conditions that make it impossible.

You will be directed to an office within Saudi Aramco where a representative from the Department of Traffic will issue your driving license.

The arrangement of your leave is your responsibility, and you need to secure this in advance by requesting to attend the Saudi Aramco Driving Program once you receive a confirmation to attend the driving program.
